Orientation & Approach

After a number of years experience combining medicine and psychotherapy in clinical practice, my main are of interest is now in clinical research. At Summit we conduct medication research studies in hopes of discovering new and better ways of treating illnesses like depression, anxiety, and Alzheimer's disease. Our goals are to discover new reliable treatments to help improve the health of our patients and to provide the highest quality care. We carefully select individuals who are likely to benefit from our programs. Our staff provides every patient with thorough assessments, careful monitoring during the study and arrangements for appropriate follow up treatment once participation has been completed.

Personal Comments

In the over 30 years I have been involved in clinical practice and research, I have learned a great deal about the roles of therapy and medicine in the management of psychiatric disorders. Our mission at Summit is three-fold: first, to continue the development of novel medicines to treat more effectively the conditions of depression, anxiety, and related illnesses such as obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, and social phobia; second, to commit ourselves to providing the highest quality care to the patients we see; and third, to provide education and consultation to the medical community and to share the knowledge we have gained.
