Orientation &
Approach
| I have a developmental and Object Relations Approach
to my work. I am strengths based and build from a child’s
strengths. Since play is the language of children, I honor their
world ad given them the tools to express themselves through the
exploration of play and sand-tray therapy. For older children I
include a cognitive behavioral approach. Filial therapy is utilized
to engage the caregiver(s); My goal is to 1) provide the caregiver the
tools to parent 2) provide a safe environment for an improved
relationship between child and parent. |
Personal
Comments
| Children have the ability to develop their best
selves; I support their emotional growth and capacity for optimism. |
