Orientation &
Approach
| Because
each person has unique experiences and goals for counseling, I
combine a variety of approaches to help clients reach their
objectives. These include Cognitive-Behavioral techniques,
Narrative, Interpersonal and Existential therapy practices, Brief
Therapy to solve specific problems, and EMDR (Eye Movement
Desensitization & Reprocessing) to facilitate healing from
trauma.
I work primarily with
individuals and couples. At the client's request, family members,
partners, or friends may be included.

Personal
Comments
| As a counselor, I consider it a privilege to work
with my clients. I understand how negative beliefs, thoughts and
life experiences can hold people back, making them feel stuck, sad,
anxious or unfulfilled. And I understand the courage it sometimes
takes to make changes.
My work is based on collaboration and
respect for my clients' needs, strengths and experiences. I offer a
safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment to help you
identify and let go of negative feelings, old behavior patterns, and
ways of thinking that prevent you from living the life you want.
Counseling can help you experience the joy
of self-acceptance and the peace of mind that comes with healthy
self-esteem. In the process, you can create stronger relationships,
improve the way you communicate with others, and see new
possibilities for your life.
For
yourself or with a partner, the support that comes from a strong
therapeutic relationship provides a safe place to make changes in
the way you think, act or react. And even the smallest change can
open the door to a more authentic and rewarding life.
