Focus of Practice & Interests
| I
am skilled at solution focused therapy, but real change often takes
courage and trust. Most clients find I understand them quickly and
that I'm interactive. The majority of my clients want to be unstuck,
move beyond the anxiety, sadness, anger, communicate with their
partners and be happy. They want insight and to feel better. Relief,
healing, clarity, problem solving and finding one's authentic path are
some of the goals and the results of this work. I have particular
interest in the unconscious influences of one's
difficulties. |
|
Background & Experience
| Before becoming
a private practitioner in 1990 I worked at Mt Sinai Hospital both
inpatient and adolescent day treatment, Providence Hospital with
children, adolescents and adults and as a family therapy consultant,
Pacific Gateway Hospital as a case manager and Parry Center. |

Orientation & Approach
| I've
been helping clients since 1982. I had a traditional Freudian
psychoanalytic training on the east coast and for the past 15 years
have been studying and working as a Jungian oriented therapist. I am
always interested in dream work. My work with individuals, families
and couples is active and involves sharing of my insights and
impressions. I would call myself a Depth Therapist and am very
interested in the Science of consciousness, spirituality and the work
of Carl Jung. I have particular expertise with couples and adolescents
and I am also a certified Gottman trainer for parents transitioning to
parenting. |
