Orientation &
Approach
| I believe a
safe, empathic client-therapist relationship is the heart of
productive therapy. I enable people to recognize and draw on their
own strengths to achieve feelings of greater self worth. I help
clients manage anger, stress, fear, workplace problems, and burnout.
I address a variety of life challenges and transitions including:
depression, anxiety, grief/loss, effects of trauma and abuse and
chronic health problems. The main approaches I integrate are
Psychodynamic, Systems and Cognitive-Behavioral. |
Personal
Comments
| I believe long term therapy
is a good setting in which to address family of origin issues, trauma
or problems which have ongoing negative reverberations. I also value
short term therapy which supports clients in taking control of their
lives by setting goals and defining the steps needed to get there.
