Orientation & Approach

“I actively engage you in the therapeutic process and support the changes you want to make in your relationships, your family and your professional life. Depending on your needs I use an cognitive-behavioral approach and relaxation exercises or action methods and expressive arts to help you find creative solutions or increase your coping strategies tailored to your unique issues and goals. I offer play therapy for children and support families who are faced with separation and divorce.”

Personal Comments

I believe in my clients’ strength and ability to create change and improvement in their lives and relationships. I believe in tolerance and cultural diversity, compassion for people who suffer and the importance to overcome isolation and find supportive communities. Therapy can help people who are stuck in certain thought and behavior patterns to access spontaneity and creativity and develop more flexibility in conflict situations.

Or to speak with John Schaar:

The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity of making them, changes both the maker and the destination.
