Orientation &
Approach
Counseling
is a joint involvement for counselor and client. Together we create
a safe environment in which you can grow and make positive changes.
In addition to looking at areas you want to improve, we also
take note of your strengths and build on these. I offer the option
of including art and writing as part of your counseling. Through
individual counseling I help you find inspiration and tools to
discover your desires and goals. Couples and family counseling offer
the chance to work through differences and conflicts and better
understand and appreciate each other. In addition to being a
caring listener, I offer proven tools you can use to improve the
quality of your life and relationships.
I base my work on developmental and self psychology, family systems
work, trauma theory, recovery perspectives, humanistic/existential
approaches, and art and journal work techniques.
I support you in
embracing the delights, challenges, and mysteries of life.

Personal
Comments
| I
blend my long career as a counselor with my passion for creativity.
I taught myself to paint and create mixed media work in her
forties, earning me the right to insist that it is never too late to
delve into what inspires us. One of my great joys is to provide
an atmosphere where you can discover or rekindle your own creative
abilities.
