Orientation &
Approach
| I
use all of my training and experience to help a client with a
situation the client presents me with. Since this is a
cooperative mutual effort toward healing, we work together to set
goals and see where the client wishes to go in the process. I
approach problems through many theories in which I have training:
relational, systems, gestalt, behavioral, brief solution focused,
cognitive, and spiritual reflection. We work together to see what is
most helpful. |
Personal
Comments
When
facing rough times, or choosing to grow, you want a caring person to
hear you. My clients see me as a compassionate listener who
has helped them heal. I have more than twenty years of
experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and am trained in
marriage and family therapy. I have worked in private practice
and several school systems as well as churches in crisis with
parishioners suffering loss, death and dying, conflict, or who are
getting married. I have helped hundreds find their way to
healthy choices and a happier life. It is a privilege to be with my
clients as they find solutions for their issues and we work
cooperatively toward their goals.
I have seen people through difficult relationship issues, divorce,
grief, premarital work, anxiety, sexual abuse trauma, low
self-esteem, career issues, depression, job loss, poor school
performance, or family crisis. I am also able, if asked, to help you
think through spiritual issues. I will walk with you on your
life's journey no matter where you are on it. Together we will draw
strength from inside you to help you move out in a positive
direction for your life. You will find wisdom for the change you
seek as we work together.
